ACTHA, a trail horse registry putting on competitive trail riding competitions and registering all trail horses that compete, is showing a 50% increase in both numbers of registrants and number of rides in 2009 vs 2008. The rides usually cover 6 miles with 6 obstacles, all individually judged. ACTHA has developed fool proof software, DVD's and written guidelines making it easy for a club to host a ride.
